A good progressive run in the evening patroling around my housing area.
Gearing up @hokaoneone_my Hoka Hoka Rocket 🚀 X and @abovenbeneathco - my fav socks for this run.
Started off the warm up run with 1st 2km - 4:37 | 4:12 min. Gently switching up the gear for the next 3km - 4:02 | 3:52 | 3:48 min.
After the U-turn, dig deep and had a surge to cross to the other side of road and continue gearing up. 6th and 7th km - 3:38 | 3:41 min.
Last 1km mostly downhill, speeding back to my housing area and clocked a 3:10 min.
To build speed, get the legs ready to run fast (picking up cadence), we do train running downhill, but have to ensure every strides in a "tap and go" motion.
*Hoka Rocket 🚀 X is a great pair of carbon fiber racing shoe. I like it because it is light in weight 210g for sizing US 9, and with only 1mm carbon fiber plate, it allows us to have a quick "tap and go" motion.
